Stay cool during your nursing shift!

We are officially in the dog days of summer and things are heating up! With temperatures on the rise, it is more important than ever to make sure you stay hydrated.

This is especially true for healthcare professionals who are busy taking care of patients, speaking to families, answering calls, running charge, etc. 

Nurse Together compiled a list of the top 4 tips to beating dehydration:

1. Drink More Water- aim to consume half of your weight in ounces of water

2. Carry a Water Bottle 

3. Tune In & Listen to Your Body- for example, are you lips cracked or dry?

4. Allow Yourself to Receive- make sure you take care of yourself so that you in turn can take care of others!
