As a registered nurse for many years, Paula Phillips knows firsthand that nursing is not just a job. It has become part of her identity and will stay with her for a lifetime.

During her years at the bedside, she had a front row seat to some of the most emotional moments in the entire human experience, from welcoming new life into the world to lending grieving family members a shoulder to cry on as they mourned the loss of their loved one.

Working alongside her fellow nurses, Paula experienced an array of emotions from frustration to celebration - often all within the course of a single shift! But above all, she's been uplifted, encouraged and inspired by the amazing members of our nursing community.

Her passion for this profession led her to pursue a role in which she can advocate on behalf of her fellow clinicians: Vice President of Clinical Operations at HealthTrust Workforce Solutions. It is in this spirit that we are pleased to announce the introduction of a new resource for the clinical community- the Clinical Connection.

This quarterly publication written by Paula Phillips will feature the latest news and information impacting the nursing industry, tips and advice on how to explore new dimensions of your career, and give back and advance the profession and so much more! You see, for us at HealthTrust it’s all about making connections - connections that are meaningful, lasting and have the ability to impact lives.
