Why the ANNA National Symposium Matters
Held every April, the ANNA National Symposium is a leading event for dialysis care nurses. Organized by the American Nephrology Nurses Association, the nation’s largest nephrology nursing group, the symposium offers an impressive lineup of expert speakers, engaging presentations, and networking opportunities.
And it’s all in service of the goal of empowering nurses to develop critical skills in nephrology and dialysis care. From education in scientific advances and practical skills to advocacy and leadership skill development, it's an event that truly covers everything nephrology nurses need to excel in their careers, and in patient care.
And, true to its recent emphasis on promoting access, this year's ANNA National Symposium — held April 17th through 21st at Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida — was also a hybrid meeting that combined in-person learning and networking opportunities with livestream learning and online interaction, enabling attendees to choose the experience that best met their personal needs.

And the three leaders representing HealthTrust at the 2026 ANNA National Symposium — Dialysis Services Associate Vice President Brianna Sullivan, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC (pictured, left) and Dialysis Directors Cynthia Adorno, MSN, RN (right) and Kasadi Moore, MSN, RN (bottom) — are perfect examples of that philosophy in action.
Showing that they're truly front-runners in the community, the team not only presented at the event and led a session on dialysis considerations for hepatitis patients — and won a pair awards for those efforts — but their work is also scheduled to be published by ANNA later this year. And that's on top of personally meeting with attendees to offer expertise, guidance, and support.
