January 22 – 28 is National CRNA Week, a time to celebrate the nation’s Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
The United States employs nearly 40 thousand nurse anesthetists primarily in physician offices and hospitals across the country. CRNAs administer about 43 million anestheics to patients each year and are the primary providers of anesthesia in rural American healthcare facilities.
