# DAISY Award: Tina Joynes

**We would like to congratulate Tina Joynes on receiving the distinguished DAISY Award! **
Tina is a travel nurse working in the Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit who has been working with HealthTrust Workforce Solutions for almost 3 years. She was recently presented with the DAISY Award by our HCA Healthcare facility partner, Northeast Methodist Hospital, located in Live Oak, TX.
Tina was nominated by a patient’s son named Scott after her quick action helped to save his father’s life. Her DAISY nomination can be read in full below:
“My dad had a biopsy on his lungs. He had a reaction to the Percocet, making his face and eyes swell closed and his pulse go to 90. Nurse Tina quickly sprung into action, her quick decisions and actions helped save my Dad’s life. I say it again because he could not breathe or move his neck, he swelled up like a basketball.
Tina, you are my hero. Thanks for giving my Dad another day of life, I am in debt to you. Thank you for going above and beyond, you can be my nurse anytime because I know I will be taken care of. Class act you are Tina- you are 5 stars. Thank you for being superwoman and jumping into action.”
Tina’s travel recruiter Gina Scaturro says, “Tina is dependable, always a team player, flexible, and a great clinical nurse. I have always gotten stellar references from her nurse managers. She is always a pleasure to work with.”
