Rapides Regional Medical Center is a 328-bed HCA Healthcare facility in Alexandria, Louisiana. The hospital is known for being the first Level II [trauma center](https://rapidesregional.com/service/trauma-care) in the state, as well as being the only trauma center in Central Louisiana.  Rapides Regional Medical Center is an award-winning hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana that offers a wide array of services ranging from [Cancer Care](https://rapidesregional.com/service/cancer-care) to Wound Care, and our medical staff includes doctors in more than 30 medical specialties.  In 2012 the Alexandria hospital became the first verified Level II Trauma Center in Louisiana.
