Our latest clinical HealthTrust Hero leaves a lasting impression on every life he touches. Learn more about this StaRN graduate and HCA Bayshore nurse by reading his HealthTrust Hero nomination below.
“This Clinician was a StaRN Graduate and now has transitioned to HCA Bayshore Hospital as a full-time employee. His Director describes him like this:
Christopher grew up with a love for helping people. He started his healthcare career as a paramedic, making a difference on the streets and going to where people were in need. On a quest to learn more and help people at a different level, he enrolled in nursing school and excelled, landing an opportunity for a StaRN interview in the ICU. During the interview, he clearly communicated his passion and we knew that we wanted him on the ICU team.
It was not a surprise that Christopher would do well through the StaRN program and clinical preceptorship. He immediately made a positive impression, even with our most challenging patients. His compassion is genuine and his commitment to helping others is sincere. We continue to receive frequent positive remarks by patients, family members, and staff about his authentic compassion. In addition to his kind-heartedness, he has quickly gained the respect of his assistant nurse managers and peers by quickly mastering critical-care skills and is being identified as an informal leader on the night team.
We are so proud of all the accomplishments he has achieved in a short time. Most importantly, however, is his heart for people. He lives the Bayshore Mission, ‘By always providing high quality, patient and family centered care to our community; one patient at a time.’”
We congratulate Christopher Bell on becoming a HealthTrust Hero!
