# HealthTrust Hero: Ratsany Sananikone

Ratsany Sananikone, RN earned her spot as a clinical HealthTrust Hero!
One of our HealthTrust team members visited Westside Regional Medical Center – located close to our corporate headquarters in South Florida – and received superior care from Ratsany during her time at the facility.
Learn more about Ratsany's story:
“During my latest string of health issues, I have been blessed to be taken care of by Ratsany Sananikone. On one occasion, I had received some tough news in regards to my health and was pretty scared and upset, and Ratsany was my nurse at the time. She was both attentive and compassionate. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable and that I was not alone until my fiancé arrived. She talked to me about what the doctor had told me and made sure I understood what it meant.
That day, I had been taken to the hospital from work and did not notice that my phone was not charged. Knowing that my family in NH was advised that I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and that I could not get in touch with them worried me. I told her that my phone was dying and that I did not have a charger, she loaned me hers so I could communicate with them as to what was going on. She had several patients that day and was busy but not too busy to be caring and kind.
On another occasion I had her as my nurse again due to another setback with Lupus. She remembered me and once again was comforting and kind. Ratsany has a way with people and with making you feel like you are the only one she is caring for no matter how many patients are in the Unit. I know that she has been there when I felt alone and made sure I knew that all would be ok. We are more than lucky to have her on our staff.”
