# HWS President & CEO Named to United Way Board of Directors

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions President and CEO Brendan A.J. Courtney recently became a Board member for the United Way of Broward County.
“We are thrilled to add Brendan Courtney to the United Way of Broward County Board,” said Kathleen Cannon, President and CEO of United Way of Broward County. “He is a strong believer in the power of a united community of volunteers to drive positive change.”
This was a natural fit for Courtney, whose company defines healthcare as the people for whom and by whom it is delivered. Courtney is also a member of the prestigious United Way of Broward County [Tocqueville Society](http://www.unitedwaybroward.org/tocqueville-society).
“Our mission at HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is to serve and enable those who care for and improve human life in their communities,” said Brendan Courtney. “Our focus is on health, one of United Way’s building blocks for better communities. With a passionate spirit of volunteerism among our employees, this is a perfect match of community interest to corporate outreach.”
