Job Description:
Reporting to the CNO, the Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing a 43-bed unit primarily housing post-surgical orthopedic patients, to assure quality service on a 24-hour basis.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee successful daily department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity and patient satisfaction goals/objectives
- Supervise FTE’s including performance and departmental accomplishments to meet facility and regulatory requirements
- Promote teamwork with physicians and all health care providers
- Act as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees to ensure high-quality patient care
- Manage unit supplies and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize costs
Qualifications:
- Current Florida Nursing License, graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN required, Master’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 7 years of hospital clinical experience
- 3-5 years' full-time management experience in the acute care environment
Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $90-$105k/yr. Plus 10% bonus potential.
