Director Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Lawnwood Regional Medical Center

Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute is a 365-bed acute care hospital. Home to the Treasure Coast Level II Trauma Center, it provides life-saving care for patients with critical injuries from St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee and Martin counties. Specialty services include a full range of cardiac care from diagnostics to open-heart surgery, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient Behavioral Health, an Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Center as well as the only Mazor Robotics Program that provides highly-accurate, minimally-invasive surgery for complex spinal cases.

In 2014, Children’s Services expanded. A Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the new Pediatric ER opened. These dedicated services for the smallest and the sickest children provide quality, child-friendly care, close to home. Lawnwood is accredited by The Joint Commission and designated at a Top Performer, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and has the only CARF Accreditation on the Treasure Coast.

Job description:

Reporting to the CNO, this individual will plan, organize, evaluate and direct a 58 bed Progressive Care Unit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee successful daily department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity and patient satisfaction goals/objectives
  • Supervise FTE’s including performance and departmental accomplishments to meet facility and regulatory requirements
  • Promote teamwork with physicians and all health care providers
  • Act as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Manage unit supplies and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize costs

Qualifications:

  • BSN required with Master’s degree preferred
  • Current State of Florida RN Licensure
  • BCLS, ACLS certifications
  • Must have 3+ years Director level experience in a hospital setting  
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required
  • Must have acute Telemetry experience, Progressive Care experience preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of guidelines and requirements for applicable Regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, AHCA, OSHA

 

Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $90-$105K base, plus 10% bonus potential.
