Celebrating over 30 years of providing quality healthcare to Margate, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Parkland and the surrounding communities in Broward County, Florida, Northwest Medical Center is a 223-bed hospital offering medical and surgical programs including open heart surgery, 24-hour Adult and Pediatric ER, maternity, orthopedics, pediatrics, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, heart and vascular, weight loss surgery, rehabilitation, and women’s services.
With a recently remodeled Women’s Services floor with all private rooms and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, this 223-bed hospital continues to expand and integrate the latest technology into patient care. Reporting to the CNO, the Director assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for nursing care for Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Postpartum, Pediatrics and NICU.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage daily operations of Women’s Health, Obstetrics, Nursery, Postpartum, Pediatrics and NICU
- Ensure best outcomes and high quality compassionate care of patients as they move through the hospital and into the home or other care facilities
- Work collaboratively with medical staff and other health care professionals
- Communicate regularly with CNO to gather data, provide consideration, insure consistency in implementation of policies and procedures
- Supervise FTE’s
- Understand the process of change and take the initiative in planning and implementing change
- Monitor annual budget; maintains appropriate staffing levels within budgeted hours
- Ensure department compliance with JCAHO and all applicable agencies (local, state and federal)
Qualifications:
- Current FL RN License
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required, NRP and FHM preferred
- 5+ years clinical experience in LND, Nursery, Pediatrics, or NICU
- 3+ years management experience
Compensation commensurate with experience with a salary range between $90-$110k/yr. plus 10% bonus potential
