Full-Time Days (Rotating Weekends) 

Largo Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, 425-bed statutory teaching hospital serving the community from three campuses. The hospital provides Behavioral Healthcare, Breast Healthcare at the Florida Breast Institute, Cardiovascular Services, Clinical Research, Company Care Occupational Healthcare, Emergency Care at three campuses including the ALL-NEW Clearwater ER, Hepatobiliary Care at The Hepatobiliary Center, an H2U Health and Wellness Program, Imaging and Diagnostic Services, Knee and Hip Care at the Florida Knee and Orthopedic Pavilion, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Sleep Disorders Care, Sports Medicine with the Florida Sports Medicine Center, Spine and Neurological Care at the Florida Spine & Neuro Center, Surgical Weight Loss/Bariatric Surgery at the Florida Bariatric Centers, transplant and organ donation services at the Transplant Institute of Florida and Wound Care with Hyperbaric Medicine. Largo Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education program is the West Coast Academic Center for NOVA Southeastern University and is affiliated with the USF Morsani College of Medicine.

Summary

The Inpatient Rehab Liaison acts as a coordinator between internal and external referral sources and acute inpatient rehab operation.  The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with case managers, physicians, payors and other referral sources. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist will ensure appropriate patient placement through clinical screenings and assessments in collaboration with both hospital Case Management and the Rehab Medical Director. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist works closely with hospital case management to ensure a responsive and smooth flowing referral and admission process for the inpatient acute rehab program.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must hold one of the following licenses/certifications: RN, CCRN, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist. 

• Graduate of an accredited school in a clinical specialty
• 2 yrs. recent clinical care experience or Liaison/Sales highly preferred
• Licensed professional in a clinical healthcare specialty (RN or CCRN, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist)
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $64.9K - $93.6K.  Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
