Largo Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, 425-bed statutory teaching hospital serving the community from three campuses. Largo Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education program is the West Coast Academic Center for NOVA Southeastern University and is affiliated with the USF Morsani College of Medicine.
Summary
The Inpatient Rehab Liaison acts as a coordinator between internal and external referral sources and acute inpatient rehab operation. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with case managers, physicians, payors and other referral sources. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist will ensure appropriate patient placement through clinical screenings and assessments in collaboration with both hospital Case Management and the Rehab Medical Director. The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist works closely with hospital case management to ensure a responsive and smooth flowing referral and admission process for the inpatient acute rehab program.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold one of the following licenses/certifications: RN, CCRN, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist.
- Graduate of an accredited school in a clinical specialty
- 2 yrs. recent clinical care experience or Liaison/Sales highly preferred
- Licensed professional in a clinical healthcare specialty (RN or CCRN, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist)
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $64.9K - $93.6K. Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
