Integrated Regional Laboratories (IRL) includes thirteen HCA hospital laboratories in Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, Saint Lucie and Okeechobee counties and one Core Laboratory in Broward County. Through the process of re-engineering and the application of leading edge automation technology, IRL has transformed laboratory operations in the HCA East Florida market into an integrated service network.
Summary
This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic, seasoned leader for the Division Director of Laboratory Services. This position reports directly to the CEO. Provides leadership and support to direct reports to coordinate laboratory activities of central and hospital based laboratories to achieve Division and IRL business objectives including efficiency, quality, regulatory, fiscal, operational, technical, and growth. Serves as the administrative director for Central Laboratory Operations in assigned region. Coordinates with counterparts in other IRL regions to assure coordination and consistency in the delivery of laboratory services across the organization.
Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
- Performs duties of Regional Director of Hospital Services as assigned
- Serves as the on-site administrator for the central laboratory facility. Facilitates operational needs of central laboratory operations through collaboration with Regional Microbiology and Histology Directors.
- Provides leadership to assigned region and appraises the performance of respective direct reports, including authority to hire and fire subject to the input of the IRL and Division executive teams.
- Effectively works with all levels of HCA and IRL, division to ensure a service delivery system, which sets standards of excellence in terms of quality, response time, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Communicates routinely with the IRL and Division Executives concerning policy recommendations and suggested courses of action pertinent to the laboratory business. Advises CEO where executive involvement is necessary to accomplish objectives.
- Assist in the development and sustainment of charge master and dictionary standardization to maximize revenue capture and reduce billing errors.

Qualifications
- 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology required
- Post Graduate Degree strongly preferred
- Must have State of Florida Supervisor’s license
- Must have in at least 3 specialty areas
- Microbiology and/or Histology preferred
- 5 years of director level experience in an integrated laboratory or health system required
- Experience working in a multi-site strongly preferred
- Centralized laboratory management experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $132K - $165K plus full benefit package including: vacation, 401k, and Medical Insurance.
