Full-Time Days (NO Weekends) 

Blake Medical Center is located in Bradenton, Florida, just minutes from the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches of Manatee County. Our 383-bed, level II trauma center and has received official verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our Internal Medicine Residency Training Program will formally begin in July of 2016, allowing us to accept and teach resident physicians at our hospital. Summary

Within the Surgery Department at Blake, we provide the highest quality of care in a warm, personalized setting for the patients we serve. Our Surgical Services teams are committed to fulfilling our hospital’s mission statement “to provide exceptional care to every patient, every time.” As an OR RN, you will work in a facility that has:

• 10 Main Operating Rooms plus 2 CVORs and one additional hybrid room
• 25 Outpatient Services beds, 9 Pre-op Holding beds, 5 pre-admit testing offices (with their own lab/EKG area), and 3 Endoscopy Suites
• Average of 25-30 General Surgery cases per day
• On-call requirements:  In order to meet on-call requirements associated with this position, employees must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of being contacted

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current licensure as an RN in the State of Florida                      
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred
• National certification (CNOR) preferred 
• Prior hospital OR RN experience desired; May consider ambulatory/outpatient surgery center nursing background
• Experience with Burns, Lasers, and Robotic Surgery systems preferred.  Ortho & Neuro experience preferred
• Circulator experience desired - scrub experience a plus
• Must live within 30 minute radius for on-call periods
• Call frequency:  4-5 weeknight (11p-7a) coverage per month + one 24 hour weekend shifts (either Saturday or Sunday – not full couplet) per month
• Seeking prior acute care hospital OR experience, but may consider strong surgery center background

Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $23-37/hour range - $3/hour when on call; 1.5x base rate when called back in! $7500 sign on bonus available!
