RN – Behavioral Health – Care Facilitator

Shifts:  2 days - 11A to 11P and 2 days - 11A to 7P – OR – 2 days - 3P to 3A and 2 days - 7P to 3A

University Hospital and Medical Center is a 317-bed acute care hospital. Since opening in 1974, the facility has been a leader in bringing breakthroughs in orthopedic care and joint replacement. The Center for Behavioral Health offers inpatient care for children, adolescents and adults and a one-of-a-kind geriatric program. The Wound Healing Center offers expert care for non-healing wounds. Their Emergency Room offers family-friendly care for children and special amenities for seniors.

Summary

The ARC department operates on a 24/7 basis and will be rapidly expanding, requiring multiple new clinicians to join this exciting team.

The ARC RN Care Facilitator, under the supervision of the Division Manager and Director of Assessment and Referral Center (ARC), provides nursing support to the ARC by reviewing the medical and behavioral health needs of patients who are presenting for services through the ARC Program, reviewing the medical appropriateness of patients referred for inpatient behavioral health services from internal and external customers, interacting with admitting providers to facilitate admission orders, and interfacing with third-party payers when appropriate.

Qualifications

Education, Certification/Licensure, and/or Experience

  • Possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
  • 2 years of Behavioral Health experience required, 3 years with Psychiatric Assessment/Intake preferred

Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment.
  • Possess good communication skills verbal and written.
  • Possess good organization skills and be able to act on multiple tasks.
  • Understand and be able to train on all the state and federal standards regarding behavioral health assessment, petition, medical screening and patient rights.
  • Able to use multiple means of technology to complete job functions. 

Compensation commensurate with experience with salary range between $28.10 (min) - $36.55 (mid) plus Sign-On Bonus potential
