March is Women’s History Month, a time to remember and celebrate the many influential women in history. These women include; those who fought for women to have the right to vote, work, be treated equally and so much more.

We are proud that HealthTrust Workforce Solutions as and our parent company HCA Healthcare, have a long history of giving back to the community in a number of different ways. In addition to the HCA Hope Fund, HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is happy to share that our Finance Shared Services team recently partnered with Necessities for Children, a South Florida-based non-profit, to build and donate bicycles to local children in need.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we invited our nurses to post on Instagram and share with us what they LOVE about nursing earlier this month. Congratulations to Bernie B., RN, on earning a DAISY Award! The DAISY Award is presented to nurses who demonstrate extraordinary compassion as they provide care to their patients and families every day. Bernie is an employee at our HCA Healthcare Hendersonville Medical Center. 

We are excited to feature Sasha Brent-Trinder in our latest Employee Spotlight.  Sasha is a Vendor AP Analyst and has been part of the HealthTrust family for nearly 7 years. 

In her role, Sasha establishes and maintains relationships with vendors, while assisting in accurate and complete payment, in a timely manner. Sasha also helps to train vendors to ensure they have the correct processes, guidelines, information and knowledge needed to maneuver through the process. Sasha is committed to making sure that it is easy to do business with HealthTrust.

The U.S. added a robust 467,000 jobs in January 2022 while the unemployment rate rose to 4% from 3.9%. However, the economy is still missing as many as 4 million workers who likely would be employed now had the pandemic never happened amid a record-breaking surge in COVID-19 cases nationwide. 

Within healthcare, 18,000 jobs were added in the first month of 2022 and growth was seen throughout the sector. Ambulatory care settings added 14,700 jobs and hospitals added 3,400 jobs, while employment in nursing and residential care facilities remained relatively flat, down 100 jobs.

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is happy to welcome Stephanie Tice as Ethics and Compliance Officer of HealthTrust Workforce Solutions this past week. This position is in place to uphold compliance, organizational ethics and operational excellence.

Stephanie joins HWS from HCA Healthcare, where she began her career in 1995 at Southern Hills Medical Center after serving 6 years in the United States Air Force.  Stephanie later served as the Ethics and Compliance Officer for the Nashville Share Services Center (SSC) before transitioning to HCA Corporate Ethics and Compliance in 2007, where she served as the Ethics and Compliance Investigator, Ethics Line Case Manager and Director, Ethics and Compliance.
