The Work We Do Saves Lives

A lot of people think our job is to recruit, but that’s not the way we view sourcing. The way we see it, the job we do saves lives. We may not know an atrioventricular from a vena cava, but we know people, and we’re incredibly passionate about what we do.

We find great caregivers—nurses and doctors and medical techs—who may one day save the life of someone we love.

How do we know they are great caregivers? Checking credentials is a
given, but we do more than that. We get to know the people we place before we
place them. For us, it’s personal. We want to know what’s important to them,
because we want them to join the Parallon family, and we want them to stay. To do that, we have to give them compelling reasons to choose us.

I firmly believe candidates select us because of our people. We absolutely love what we do, and we are determined to do it the right way. From respect to integrity to our service mindset, our values infuse every conversation. We do not treat nurses as numbers. We thank them for choosing us. We may be more warm and fuzzy than business formal, but that simple thank you means a lot. Candidates can feel that we genuinely care about their careers. They appreciate the diversity of opportunities we offer—from local per diem contracts to travel to transitional leadership—but what’s more important to them is the wonderful people we have. It is Parallon people that make the difference.

There’s no question that we want to break all the records for the greatest number of placements (we’re competitive that way!), but we care more about making the right placements. We talk to our candidates, so that we can match them to opportunities that satisfy their needs, whether it’s about location or specialty or gaining new skills or more flexibility in their schedule. We look for the job that will make them happiest, because when you imagine the day your own mother is hospitalized, don’t you want that caregiver on the job?

Are you looking to join an organization that is making a direct impact on the health and wellness of the community? Job search today.
