The HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Recruitment Teams recently set sail for a sunset cruise aboard the Lady Gallant in Delray Beach, Florida, to celebrate tripling their 2018 production goal, putting three times the amount of people to work as a result of their shared vision, dedication to partnership and increased collaboration with one another.

“The team is incredibly passionate about the meaningful impact and contribution they make to saving lives one placement at a time,” says HWS Vice President of Recruitment Lisa Acevedo.

The HWS Recruitment Team is comprised of four distinct groups: Permanent Placement Recruiting, Sourcing, Contract Recruitment and Shared Services.

The Permanent Placement Team is made up of three Professional Perm Recruiters who are supported by three Associate Recruiters, all whom have cultivated their careers within the organization. The team has exceeded their permanent placement goal by helping 75% more individuals find new careers in 2018.

“I feel like we have a great team,” says Perm Recruiter Christopher Cannella, who notes his manager Teresa Whigham is an outstanding leader. “I feel like she has really brought the team together. All of our personalities match well and everyone cares about contributing to the team goal. Everyone is always willing to help each other.”

On the Per Diem side, the Sourcing Team is made up of Associate Recruiters and Regional Recruiters. Together, they’ve helped double the number nurses complete a first shift worked and triple the number of working nurses who have met their five shift goal in 2018 compared to the previous year.

“I believe the culture in our department has led to our success as a team. We all learn from each other and continuously try to succeed,” says Senior Associate Recruiter Cassandra.

The Contract Recruitment Team consists of passionate and seasoned healthcare Recruiters and Associate Recruiters who support our parent company, HCA, in finding permanent career opportunities for highly-qualified clinicians in our facilities throughout the United States. The Contract Recruitment Team has helped nearly triple the number of individuals find careers in 2018 than they had initially set as a goal.

“Passion and dedication are the primary reasons for this team’s success,” says Recruitment Manager Jennifer Mailly. “These recruiters put their all into their role – from their willingness to learn to being fully engaged with candidates and hiring managers.”

Finally, the Recruitment Shared Services Team provides recruitment services to fellow HCA affiliates HealthTrust Purchasing Group and Parallon. This team focuses on recruiting for non-clinical healthcare positons for individuals who do not provide direct patient care. Recruitment Shared Services has exceeded the number of job seekers they’ve helped find careers for by 25% in 2018 compared to 2017.

“As a team we have learned that we may shine individually, but we shine brighter together which is why we are involved, and attentive in each other’s roles,” says Shared Services Recruiter Daylena Barrios. “Trust amongst the team has gotten Shared Services to not only accomplish, but exceed the department’s yearly goal.”

Overall, our Recruitment professionals have proven that cultivating teamwork often leads to success, both for the job seekers they help and for their team as a whole.

“By individually holding themselves and each other accountable to our common goal of improving patient care, the team has demonstrated that we all win when we work together,” says Lisa Acevedo.
