# DAISY Award: Bernie B., RN

Congratulations to Bernie B., RN, on earning a DAISY Award! The DAISY Award is presented to nurses who demonstrate extraordinary compassion as they provide care to their patients and families every day. Bernie is an employee at our HCA Healthcare Hendersonville Medical Center.
**Bernie B., ICU RN, Daisy Award Nomination:**
"I would like to share my recent experience with Hendersonville Medical Center. On Saturday, July 31st at around 4:20 pm, I was admitted to ER for a heart attack. From the time the paramedics hit the doors with me, your ER staff was very caring, professional and prompt. Every move they would make, they would inform me what they were doing and why.
Also, all of the nurses I had in ICU were phenomenal. One nurse in particular was Bernie. That man was on top of things like I had never seen. I didn’t get much sleep with him (LOL), but I will say he was the most thorough and detailed nurse and he made sure my stay was comforting."
