Associate Recruiter James Trapani was recently recognized as the team member who is best utilizing our new interviewing software, called Montage. James began working with HealthTrust Workforce Solutions in May 2016 in our Nashville office and moved to South Florida in February.
Montage is a software that enables human resources and staffing professionals to conduct voice and video interviews over the internet. A recruiter can send a link to Montage In-Demand to a potential hire, and the potential hire can answer the interview questions at his or her leisure.
“Montage allows us to access nurses on their time,” James says, as job seekers no longer have to take time out of their busy schedules to answer calls from their recruiters.
If James is communicating with a nurse or other medical professional who is unavailable during typical business hours, he can give the clinician up to 72 hours to answer his questions electronically through Montage. These questions include many of the interview basics, such as why the applicant is looking for a new job and what kind of experience he or she has.
When the applicant’s answers align with the needs of the facility, the clinician can then move on to the next step in the hiring process. Last week, James was able to reach out to 30 additional nurses who may have missed out on this crucial interview step had Montage not been available.
“I speak with most nurses over the phone,” James says. “But nurses who work nights or irregular shifts are more difficult to contact.”
James also adds that some departments prefer to have nurses complete video interviews on Montage over the traditional phone or in-person interview, as they can share the video with the placement facility, such as an HCA hospital, prior to the nurse coming onboard.
James was recognized for his performance in utilizing Montage. He credits the direct and honest feedback of his supervisor, Vice President Lisa Acevedo, with inspiring him to exceed his production goals.
