According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. added 161,000 new jobs in October and the unemployment rate fell below 5% again with the labor market continuing to tighten. Once again the healthcare sector lead the way, adding 31,000 jobs last month accounting for 19% of all job growth during that month.
According to economic analysts at Market Watch, the increase in hiring in October, along with stronger job gains in August and September than previously reported, shows the seven-year-old economic recovery still has plenty of life despite a slowdown in growth earlier in the year.
