We would like to congratulate our next corporate HealthTrust Hero, Billie Mosley! Billie is a senior program manager responsible for providing supplemental staff to HCA facilities in Texas and Mid-America.
Billie began his career with HealthTrust six years ago in our Austin field office. There, he would schedule per diem staff to work at HCA facilities in the same regions he oversees today. In November 2016, Billie had the opportunity to move to South Florida and work at our corporate headquarters as a senior program manager.
“I love interacting with clients and with the people here in the office,” says Billie, whose friendly and outgoing demeanor would put anyone at ease.
Billie and the rest of our HealthTrust team members rely on a program called Workforce to track clinicians and schedule them for shifts. While the program is easy to navigate, there was opportunity for improvement.
Knowing there was a better way to utilize Workforce, Billie used his free time to learn Power BI, a program our IT department was using for a project but had not applied to other avenues. Through his independent study, Billie saw how this powerful program could be utilized to make Workforce more user-friendly for data tracking and data export. Soon, the program was implemented not only in Billie’s MSP department, but also in many departments across the company.
While that alone could have earned Billie the title of HealthTrust Hero, his dedication to improving the company’s systems did not stop there. Never one to back down from a challenge, Billie also found a way to improve HealthTrust payroll correction forms using DocuSign. This implementation has helped to expedite payroll corrections, ensuring our nurses and other clinicians receive the correct pay in a timely manner.
“Don’t be afraid to bring up solutions,” says Billie, whose confidence has served him well over the course of his career. “You have to want to be successful.”
Outside of the office, Billie is an avid chef who especially enjoys barbecuing. As a recent transplant to the sunshine state, he does not take our beautiful beach days and outdoor activities for granted.
We would once again like to congratulate Billie Mosley on becoming our next HealthTrust Hero. He is pictured above (center) with CFO Jennifer Chemtov and MSP Program Director Eddie Parizek.

“As a result of his attitude and can-do approach, Billie Mosley has recently positively impacted our organization in two very visible and beneficial ways.
Implementation of DocuSign with HCA Travel Payroll Correction Forms (PCFs)
While not all payroll correction matters are entirely unavoidable, they all result in countless hours of lost productivity. In an effort to streamline the overall process and reduce unnecessary work, Billie suggested utilizing the DocuSign platform to standardize and streamline the overall payroll correction process, manage the workflow of HCA Travel PCF requests and automatically monitor progress- taking true advantage of DocuSign’s metrics and reporting capabilities. In a short time this has already made a noticeable impact on the business’ ability to secure PCF approvals in a timely and consistent manner.
Utilization of Microsoft Power BI to Amplify Business Intelligence & Enhance Reporting
Our hero dug into this platform, investing in self-training to learn how to leverage the system’s functionality to develop a report that would enhance visibility into exceptions. He used this tool to create a host of metrics for not only the MSP Team, but across the enterprise positively impacting business lines such as recruitment, credentialing and beyond. The reporting that he developed has increased departmental collaboration, improved operational efficiency and reduced the number of exceptions. He has since worked to expand the dashboard to encompass an even greater array of business analytics that are taking HealthTrust to the next level.”
