Our next clinical HealthTrust Hero is Emmanuel Moturi, RN!
Although Emmanuel may look like a nurse, but he could not hide his wings from one family. Described as an angel sent to help them while their father was passing away, this Hero used his inner light to guide the patient and his family through this difficult time. We recommend taking a moment to read what the family shared about our Hero:
“I have to call out the wonderful nurse who cared for my father and touched our hearts. I tell everyone even now that if you were to call ICU and ask for him, I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me that there was no one who worked with his name. I truly believe he was an angel who was put there to take care of my dad during his final days, and also to take care of us.
He helped us laugh in the face of what was to be a very difficult decision. He allowed us time and space to cry and mourn when those decisions became inevitable. He asked questions about my dad so he could better take care of him and know who he was so he could better relate to him not just as a patient, but as a person. He CARED!
He filled long days of waiting with his bright smile and tender words, his lovely sense of humor, and kind and gentle spirit. He is the definition of caring about the patient and for the patient. He gave everything to my dad and made us all feel as though my dad was the only patient he had in the whole ICU, even though we knew he had many.”
