A Look Inside the Hospital for Injured Olympians

olympic-rings-1307193.jpgThe world watched as French gymnast Samir Ait Said broke his leg on Saturday while competing on the vault. Although no Olympian is prepared to put his or her dreams on hold, the healthcare professionals at Americas Medical City were prepared to treat Ait Said's injury.

Time went inside Americas Medical City, the largest hospital in Rio de Janeiro, which will be used to treat injured Olympic athletes. The facility has 500 beds, 16 operating rooms, and 2 trauma rooms. Time's video tour can be viewed below.
