The first month of 2018 saw the addition of 200,000 new jobs, an increase of nearly 36% over December, while the unemployment rate continued to remain steady at 4.1%.
Healthcare job creation slowed in January, accounting for just over 10% of total job growth last month, with hospital jobs leading the way in new healthcare job creation. Healthcare unemployment decreased to 2.7%, the same rate as this time last year.
