Help Raise Breast Cancer Awareness by Joining the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
Scheduled for Saturday, October 19 at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, this year's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is part of what's become "the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement," according to the ACS.
"Making Strides has always been more than just a walk, it’s a movement," the ACS website explains. "We are making it easier for anyone, anywhere to make an impact. We know the future can be free from breast cancer. We’re asking you to join the movement and sign up to save lives."
Join Our Mission to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Though on the decline overall, breast cancer mortality is rising among younger women, as well as within the Asian American community. And that’s firm evidence that the fight for breast cancer awareness is far from over.
To that end, our Employee Engagement Committee encourages our team to participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, not just this year but annually. And if you're interested in joining us, here's what you need to know:
- What: American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Broward County, Florida
- When: Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024. The event starts at 7:30am, the program begins at 8am, and we start walking at 9am
- Where to go: Amerant Bank Arena — home of the Florida Panthers — located at 1 Panther Pkwy, Sunrise, FL 33323
- What to know: You can start fundraising here, or donate here, but you can also just come walk with us!
