CNAs, You're Healthcare's 'Champions'!

As one of America's top clinical staffing companies, we know how important CNAs are for patient care. And that's true for pretty much every type of facility, from hospitals and health centers to skilled nursing and urgent care centers, where nursing assistants provide direct patient care, not only checking vitals and adminstering medications but also providing emotional support and compassion.

The truth is, CNAs carry out most of the direct patient care that happens in many healthcare facilities. And that makes them the people patients and nursing home residents turn to more than any other, the frontline heroes at the heart of care.

What's the theme of CNA Week 2025?

And that's why the theme of this year's CNA Week is "We are the Champions!" If you're a CNA, you know that tackling your day-to-day duties takes dedication and hard work. And in our eyes, that makes you a champion — a front-line hero who we all rely upon, each and every day.

And that's just as true today as it has been for more than 100 years. In fact, the modern job of nursing assistant is usually traced back to World War I, when the American Red Cross introduced the Volunteer Nurses’ Aide Service in 1918, to help meet a shortage of nurses at home,

When is CNA Day and CNA Week 2025?

Of course, we're not the only ones who value CNAs! Celebrated for decades by the National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA), CNA Week will be celebrated from June 12th through 18th, 2025. And just like every year, it kicks off on the second Thursday in June, also known as National CNA Day.

  • Did you know? There are 1,351,760 nursing assistants working in the U.S.A., working mostly in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and assisted living centers.
