Our StaRN program is looking for Nurse Educators in Gainesville, Florida!

StaRN, short for Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses, is a training program designed to increase the pool of qualified registered nurses through bridging the skills gap between new graduates and experienced nurses.

Located in the “City of Excellence,” Medical City Plano is a part of the largest, most comprehensive healthcare providers in North Texas.

This 547-bed acute-care facility has more than 1,600 employees and over 1,000 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and subspecialties. Medical City Plano stands as the community’s first comprehensive medical center and is part of HCA’s Medical City Healthcare system. Many of these positions and facilities are staffed by HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, an affiliate of HCA.

Now is one of the best times to find a new job! According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of job openings in the United States recently reached a new high at just over 6 million vacancies.

As we reach the end of the academic year, we would like to thank everyone who promoted early literacy by becoming United Way ReadingPals!

Nineteen HealthTrust Workforce Solutions team members signed up to be ReadingPals, which required each member to spend one hour per week reading with a child. Many of these children were Kindergarten or first-grade students at Flamingo Elementary School.

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions would like to welcome its summer interns!

We have seven interns starting this week, including three familiar faces who interned with us last summer. Their first few days were filled with learning about HealthTrust and performing team building exercises (pictured), and they will join their respective departments later in the week. 

Today we celebrate all of our HealthTrust healthcare recruiters. In honor of their contributions, we would like to share some insight on what it means to be on our recruitment teams. 

The U.S. added 138,000 jobs in May, furthering indicating that the country is approaching the tightest labor market seen in years. The unemployment rate edged down to 4.3%, the lowest level seen since May 2001.

Chester Willis, BSN, RN is our next HealthTrust Hero Clinician!

Chester is a Vascular Access nurse at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee. His skill set, bedside manner, and genuine kindness have all earned him the highest of praises by both his colleagues and his patients.
