Our Sunrise Recruitment team and their family members volunteered with the American Red Cross for their Home Fire Preparedness Campaign! The team visited homes in the community, installed free smoke detectors, and educated families about fire safety procedures. The team helped 14 families and installed more than 30 alarms over the course of the day.
The goal of the American Red Cross’ Home Fire Preparedness Campaign is to reduce the number of home fire deaths and injuries over the next five years. Because of this campaign, three families in our community have already been saved by the free smoke alarms alerting them to fires in their homes. This chapter of the American Red Cross is a funded partner of the United Way of Broward County.
