# Total Job Growth Continues to Climb in February

February 2018 saw the addition of 313,000 new jobs, an increase of 56% over this time last year. The unemployment rate remained steady at 4.1% for the fifth consecutive month.
Healthcare job creation accounted for 6% of total job growth for the month of February with the addition of 18,500 jobs. While healthcare and hospital job growth slowed compared to January, growth in ambulatory care continued to climb. Overall, healthcare added 290,000 new jobs over the last 12 months.
