Healthcare A Driving Force in June 2019 Job Growth Rebound
The U.S. economy rebounded in June, adding a robust 224,000 jobs and breaking the record for the longest period of economic growth in U.S. history. June’s hiring ramp up added three times as many new jobs as the previous month. The unemployment rate ticked up slightly, reaching 3.7% nationally and 2.6% within healthcare.

Healthcare Adds 1/5th of All U.S. Jobs in May Amid Growing Labor Shortages
The U.S. economy added 75,000 jobs in May and the unemployment rate remained near a 50-year low of 3.6%. The healthcare industry contributed one-fifth of all jobs last month, adding 15,700 jobs. Ambulatory healthcare continued to dominate job growth within the healthcare sector, adding 12,200 jobs. Hospital payrolls grew by 3,000.

StaRN is Now Hiring Clinical Instructors for Cohorts Across the U.S.
Our StaRN program is hiring! If you’re a registered nurse and would like to inspire the next generation of nurses in Richmond, Salt Lake City, or Las Vegas, consider becoming a StaRN instructor. No prior teaching experience is necessary!
StaRN – short for Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses – is designed to bridge the skills gap between new graduates and experienced nurses through a combination of classroom and hands-on specialty training. Each cohort lasts 10 to 22 weeks depending on specialty, during which StaRN instructors act as mentors, educators, and preceptors to newly-licensed registered nurses.
