HealthTrust was proud to support Operation Turkey Dinner 2025, the latest edition of the annual Thanksgiving meal drive for veterans and military families held by United Way Broward’s MISSION UNITED. Read on for details about the event and how HealthTrust helped contribute!
HealthTrust Supports United Way Broward’s Operation Turkey Dinner Meals for Veterans Drive
Organized by United Way Broward's MISSION UNITED, Operation Turkey Dinner is an annual event designed to help provide local veterans and military families with everything they need to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
And that means assembling and distributing hundreds of meal kits filled with Thanksgiving essentials like canned corn and cranberry sauce, jars of gravy, boxes of instant mashed potatoes and stuffing mix, and lots more. Each kit also included a grocery store gift card to help families add other supplies they might need.
Held on Wednesday, November 19th, the 2025 veteran meal drive more than met its goal by gathering hundreds of meal kits from volunteers across Broward County, Florida. And, as they've done so often before, the HealthTrust team stepped up to support the cause in a big way!

Both on-site and at-home HealthTrust team members were encouraged to work either individually or in groups to split the time and costs of gathering the needed items, or to send in a monetary donation to sponsor a Thanksgiving meal for four.
And, after gathering the donated items together at our Broward County headquarters, HealthTrust volunteers worked to assemble everything into boxes provided by Operation Turkey Dinner event organizers before delivering them to United Way Broward's Fort Lauderdale offices.

Operation Turkey Dinner is just one of the ways that United Way Broward's MISSION UNITED works to help local veterans and their families secure employment, housing, healthcare, legal assistance, financial guidance, and other essential services as they transition into the next chapter of their lives.
