StaRN nurses say the training makes them feel better prepared for the workforce than they did as new college grads.
Since its inception in 2014, the innovative StaRN (Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses) program has opened doors for 2,000 newly graduated nurses who otherwise would have faced substantial difficulties in getting hired locally. Another 2,000+ newly minted RNs are expected to complete the StaRN apprenticeship in 2016.

Last Friday, the Parallon Workforce Solutions MSP Team accepted the "marshmallow challenge" in preparation of our Workforce 2.0 go-live. This challenge is a fun activity that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation and creativity. The marshmallow challenge is a fast and powerful technique for improving a team’s capacity to generate ideas and build rapport. This lesson also reveals the true nature of collaboration, illustrates how each person innovates and emphasizes the importance of diverse perspectives.
