On behalf of the entire HealthTrust Workforce Solutions family, we would like to wish you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

Dozens of HealthTrust Workforce Solutions team members volunteered for the United Way of Broward County's Day of Caring today at the BB&T Center! This annual event supports the local community through packaging and distributing meals to families in need through Project Lifeline.

HealthTrust packaged 20,000 meals. In total the event packaged more than 300,000 meals for our community. 

Canned goods were also collected at the door and were donated to LifeNet4Families.

With the holiday season just around the corner we could not be more thankful and grateful for the holiday cheer all of the volunteers (especially our HWS team members!) will bring to families who do not know where they will get their next meal.

Congratulations to Bridget Coane, RN, on earning a DAISY Award! Bridget is a HealthTrust nurse who works in the ICU at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida. 

Bridget was nominated by the facility's Clinical Nurse Manager, Joni Schmidt, for her compassion and positive attitude that she shows to everyone she encounters while working at the hospital. You can read her nomination in full below: 

Congratulations to Janine Seftel, RN, on earning a DAISY Award! Janine is the Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Janine is a former HealthTrust Workforce Solutions (HWS) nurse who currently works for HCA Healthcare, of which HWS is a fully-owned subsidiary. She was nominated for the DAISY Award by HWS Division Vice President Randall Garcia for going above and beyond to mentor a per diem nurse who had the desire to work in the Emergency Department but did not yet have the experience: 

HealthTrust team members in our Sunrise corporate office raised more than $2,000 to support local veterans! Our Finance Shared Services team organized a series of fundraisers to support the United Way of Broward County's MISSION UNITED, which provides support to veterans and their families as they transition into civilian life. 

Today we celebrate Veterans Day in honor of the 22+ million men and women who have served in the United States military, especially the many among us now working as corporate and clinical employees within the HealthTrust Workforce Solutions family. Thank you to all of the courageous individuals who put their lives in harm's way to protect our country and ensure the freedoms that Americans embrace each and every day.

Congratulations to Luz Silva, RN, on earning a DAISY Award! Luz is a HealthTrust nurse who works in the NICU at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. 

Luz was recognized for the compassion she showed to a family whose joy at welcoming their newborn son would soon turn to sorrow. Her nomination can be read below:

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Rally Week October 21-25 leading up to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides of Broward County on October 26. Our team members painted canvases with words of encouragement, hosted a bake sale, participated in a door decorating contest and more! More photos of the week's activities can be found below.
