Ornella Puente, RN, is our next clinical HealthTrust Hero!

Ornella earned her HealthTrust Hero status through her work in the ICU at Tampa Community Hospital in West Florida. While there, she has shown an undeniable commitment to helping her patients and their families during the most difficult of times.

Our next corporate HealthTrust Hero is Vice President of Interim Leadership Brandi Vines! 

Brandi earned her HealthTrust Hero status through her tireless work with our recent Disaster Relief efforts to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. As HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is an affiliate of HCA, our Disaster Relief efforts included finding nurses and other medical professionals who were willing to travel to HCA facilities in the affected areas to provide relief to their staff.  

“When the opportunity to lead the HCA volunteer initiative emerged, Brandi was ready to roll up her sleeves with her team,” says Kristi Stark, Regional Vice President for HealthTrust’s Central Region. “She built up a program to support the focus on HCA full-time employees who were willing to help support the regions most impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Irma.”

Our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN) program is looking for clinical instructors throughout the western United States. No teaching experience is necessary!

Today we kicked off our annual campaign in support of the United Way of Broward County! Representatives from the United Way, including President & CEO Kathleen Cannon and Development Officer Quettia Isoff, stopped by our South Florida corporate headquarters to share how every dollar donated impacts our local community.

Travel recruiter Ashley Parker is our next corporate HealthTrust Hero! Ashley joined our team three years ago in our sourcing department and moved to our travel division less than a year later.   

“I truly enjoy coming to work every day,” Ashley says with a smile. “I love getting to know new people and that no two days are the same.”

While the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment Report revealed that U.S. payrolls lost 30,000 jobs in September, the healthcare sector continued to display steady growth, adding 22,500 jobs last month. The below-trend national job creation was likely impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

We would like to welcome Shaun McCamant, MSN, RN, as our Chief Nursing Officer of Clinical Operations!

Shaun joins us from HCA’s MidAmerica division, where she most recently served as the Chief Nursing Officer for Lakeview Regional Medical Center. Along with a track record of exceptional healthcare performance, she brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience and nearly two decades of nursing leadership within the HCA family to the role.  

As our CNO, Shaun will strengthen our unified clinical vision and mission. She and her team of Clinical Operations Directors will work to promote clinical excellence and ensure clinical governance across our organization, making it easier to do business with HealthTrust.
