HealthTrust Workforce Solutions’ innovative Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN) training program is expanding into new regions, starting with Kansas City! An open house will be hosted at the Marriott Kansas City Overland Park on October 10 to search for new StaRN clinical instructors.

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions President and CEO Brendan A.J. Courtney recently became a Board member for the United Way of Broward County.

The HealthTrust Workforce Solutions (HWS) Denver office hosted a working lunch with their local suppliers on Thursday, September 29. The meeting was a platform for the group to collaborate on opportunities in the market as well as build stronger relationships. Collaboration with suppliers is crucial in the staffing industry and leads to innovative solutions to common issues. 

Alma Ramirez joined HealthTrust Workforce Solutions (HWS) on August 22, 2016, having no experience in the staffing industry. A former patient representative, Alma was hired as a program professional for HWS’s permanent placement division. Now, Alma has become a valuable resource in her department, having earned two Making Workforce GREAT employee recognitions within her first month of employment.

When flight nurse Jon Hagen responded to an accident one night in 2002, he remained with the critically-injured patient until the man passed away that same evening. The incident stuck with Jon, who penned a letter to the patient’s family to let them know that the man did not die alone. Little did Jon know how much of an impact that letter would have on the patient’s daughter, Kelly.
