When flight nurse Jon Hagen responded to an accident one night in 2002, he remained with the critically-injured patient until the man passed away that same evening. The incident stuck with Jon, who penned a letter to the patient’s family to let them know that the man did not die alone. Little did Jon know how much of an impact that letter would have on the patient’s daughter, Kelly.

Parallon Workforce Solutions President & CEO Brendan Courtney will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Wednesday, September 21! The auction is part of the American Red Cross Broward County Chapter’s annual Dine & Dock VIP Celebrity Auction and 2016 Humanitarian Awards.

Imagine receiving free tuition to nursing school just by earning your high school diploma or GED, as well as passing a drug screen. That is the reality for a handful of Detroit residents thanks to Oakland University’s School of Nursing at Focus Hope. The school is currently seeking new students before the end of September to participate in the program.

Parallon Workforce Solutions Onboarding Specialist and Office Administrator Marion Pelote traveled from Las Vegas to Denver for training and team building with the Denver office. While she was there, Marion spent an evening at Ceramics in the City to paint pottery with Office Administrator Jennifer Bridge, Onboarding Specialist Becky Bishop, and HR Business Partner Whitney Drucker.

As everyone heads back to school, spirits run high. For students, though vacation is ending, friendships are renewed, minds are engaged and everything is fresh and new. For parents, the start of the new school year may be bittersweet. Many sigh with relief that their lives will slide easily back into familiar routines.
