Nurses touch thousands of lives every year. In celebration of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, we would like you to take a moment to recognize the nurses who have made an impact on your life.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. added 161,000 new jobs in October and the unemployment rate fell below 5% again with the labor market continuing to tighten.  Once again the healthcare sector lead the way, adding 31,000 jobs last month accounting for 19% of all job growth during that month.

This year’s Healthcare Staffing Summit begins November 8 in Washington, DC! Two of HealthTrust Workforce Solution’s leaders – President & CEO Brendan Courtney and Senior Vice President Steve Wright – will serve as panelists.

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions hosted a company-wide costume contest for Halloween! Five winners were awarded gift cards for Best Costume, and the Best Group Costume will receive a free lunch.

Team HealthTrust recently participated in the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County’s Annual BBQ & Halloween Party, helping to serve food to dozens of children. The event featured face painting, music, a haunted house, a costume contest for the kids, games, and a barbecue!

The quiet hallways of a hospital can be spooky at night. Occasionally, nurses report seeing spirits of patients who have passed away still roaming the hospital grounds.

The HealthTrust Workforce Solutions West Florida team recently volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg! The group prepared and served dinner to families whose children are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. 

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions' corporate headquarters in Sunrise, Fla. hosted a blood drive on Tuesday, October 25! All blood donors received a Halloween t-shirt, two tickets to the Improv Comedy Club, and a wellness checkup.
